So, I've trained most of my pets up a few levels. But the only training option available is still "Level". Is there a certain level I have to reach before I can train them in other things? Or are there certain items I need to train them for strength and the like?

if the only option available is level it's the only thing you can train. I don't quite know how the training thing works here exactly, but I just train til I have to train level.

You can only train the other stats if they are under 2.5 * your level :) So with a pet at 10 stats, you can start training other things at level 5.
